"I have worked with Caron for over a decade now and she has consistently gone above and beyond for me and my horses during that time. She is always open minded and prepared to find alternative ways to improve something, and has always encouraged me to ride more and more independently so that I can train as well on my own as I do with her. She’s always fully invested and genuinely cares about you and your horse - I wouldn’t have enjoyed the success that I have without her." Rebecca Bell |
“I’ve used many trainers over the years and often come away feeling I was paying someone to ‘put up poles’! This is not the case with Caron, she can be direct and to the point but I always come away feeling I have achieved something.
I enjoy the way she compares day to day scenarios to your riding to help you understand how to improve you and your horse’s way of going. Whether it’s a jump, pole-work of flat lesson they are always varied and even with a group of 4 she has eyes in the back of her head! I also like the fact that I’m given homework to work on outside of the lessons, so each lesson is more beneficial. Just recently, in preparation for a show jumping competition, I needed a confidence boost so I booked in for a series of lessons. During the sessions we trained over smaller technical courses gaining confidence and being prepared for whatever I faced on the day. Caron is always available to discuss and advise. I now stick to the one ‘Top’ coach. If you want to improve then book a lesson with Caron, I will recommend her time and time again.” Eleanor Newman |
Caron is a great coach. She has taught me so much and given me the confidence to really challenge myself. I love the fact that Caron knows me and my horse so well. Each lesson teaches me something new and makes the riding partnership I have with my horse even better. In the year I have been coached by Caron I have achieved my personal best in dressage and reached goals in showing jumping and x-country I never thought I would achieve.

“Since being taken on as head rider at a professional yard, I quickly realised that I needed to have a trainer who was truly invested in me. Having trained with a number of different coaches I felt that I now needed more than just the time in the arena especially in my new role with a number of horses all at different levels. Having horses from 3 years old to GP it was important to have someone who could adapt to each of my rides. Having followed Rebecca Bell’s successes from Ponies to Young Rider I was excited to start training with Caron and soon found her passion, enthusiasm and commitment to my riding was what I was looking for. One of my personal goals was to ride Internationally and last year together with Caron we made it happen and I rode at my first home CDI. Even through these tricky times Caron has remained focused on our future goals and I am extremely excited for the what the future holds for us. So inspiring to work with someone who is such a passionate and talented coach.”

"The level of Caron's passion and enthusiasm in her teaching is simply extraordinary. Whether you are aiming for your first show jumping competition of 70cms or training for a BE Novice level event, Caron will put the same amount of energy in to you and your horse during training. She has an incredible knack of being able to explain things to you that make absolute sense and enable you to alter your riding at that particular moment and progress forward.
I have known Caron for many years and trained with her through my eventing career in my 20's and early 30's. She made me believe in myself and helped me achieve things I would not have done had I not had her as my coach. This included riding successfully at Intermediate level Eventing and getting onto the British 3 Star Eventing Squad in 2011. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she was always there to support and mentor.
I then had several years out of competitive riding and I am now a mother of a two-year-old! I have returned to Caron in the last 6 months to focus on my dressage and start my BD journey with my horse. Having done just eventing I had a lot to learn regarding "Pure" dressage and what was expected from me in the tests. Caron has helped me tremendously; she is committed to me succeeding and together we work hard in our fortnightly training sessions. This level of commitment and energy that Caron invests into her pupils' success is why I believe I have achieved my goal of getting to the Petplan Area Festival Final Championships at Hartpury this July."
