We have a variety of horses enabling you to experience many area’s of the Equine Industry to help you identify your own chosen Equine Career Path. You can bring your own horse which provides further opportunities of training and competing. We are a BD Venue as well as have many students & owners out competing at BE, BD, unaffiliated shows and other events, so there is also a chance for you to gain experience grooming if you wish too.
We work with Haddon Training to provide funded NVQ Qualifications Level 2 & 3 in Horse Care as well as providing all the training you require for your BHS Exams. We are committed to training and students have regular lessons including ridden, theory, practical and learn the skills involved in running a yard i.e. feed order, clipping, packing the lorry for away competitions. Each student is assigned their own Training Assessor from Haddon who will visit them each month to go through their assessments, review their progress and assign the next topic. Students will then build their portfolio’s of learning evidence to go towards their final award.
As well as the syllabus we help with life skills as often this is the first time our students have lived away from home. Although we are there to provide 24/7 support we encourage the team to support each other and work as a team.
At the end of your Apprenticeship with us we will help you to find your next role within the Industry using your acquired Equine Qualifications.
