I’ve owned Tally since he was a yearling, he quickly became my little boy. As a 3yo he was ‘lightly backed’ by a ‘professional’ who left me terrified of Tally. I felt that I would never sit on him again and that I was the worst person he could be with, it festered away at my emotions and fast forward to Tally now a 4yo, I knew a decision had to be made. Break or sell.
I called countless amounts of ‘recommended breakers’ and ended up no further forward, not one person had spoken to me like I was anymore than a burden. Being out of my home county I was unsure whether Caron would be happy to help, but I know her reputation and gave it my final try.... From the moment I made contact I was treated the way I’d longed for, like a human trying to do right for their horse and a potential long term relationship as a client. I’ll never regret the decision to try Caron. Tally did have a few troubles to overcome, he did battle a few past demons for a short while. But Caron, Tammy, Charlie and the team helped him, every single step of the way. Little did I know but whilst Caron was reading Tally’s mental book, she was also reading mine and she knew when the time was right for me to get on, she knew every step in the journey forward both in my head and Tally’s. That is talent and an outright professional. As I said above, I was terrified of Tally, yet in a mere 2 months I have ridden Tally in the arena and hacking, in walk, trot and canter! I have fallen in love with him all over again and this time not as a fluffy young horse on the ground, but a horse that I cannot wait to get on board again. I will recommend CRE to anyone and everyone for the best start for a young horse and if I lived within the county it would be my first choice for livery. The horses and staff are settled, happy and have the best facilities to cater for all. My tip- Never settle, only go for what your head, heart and gut feel is right. I found mine with Caron and her team.

“I can honestly say moving my horse, Robbie, to Caron Roberts Equestrian was the best decision I ever made.
When I arrived at the yard 4 years ago I was content to be a happy hacker, however Caron encouraged me to join Swindon District Riding Club and we soon started doing rallies including XC training at Rabson Manor and SJ at Rectory Farm. I’m now doing some unaffiliated dressage which Team CRE hosts once a month, and with Caron’s coaching we’ve even won a few rosettes. Caron is aways approachable and she treats every horse and owner as an individual, no matter if you compete at a high level or just ride for fun. My horses have been on livery with Caron and her team since August 2019 and I can not fault the care given. It is very hard to find a yard that suits three horses with very different personalities but Caron has gone beyond what is expected in making sure they are all given the tailored care for their needs. Two have been on the basic plus package and the difference in them is more than I could have imagined. Their performance, muscle tone and fitness has improved and given us all more enjoyment when in the saddle. A big bonus for me has been having Caron as an instructor. I am very novice and battle with anxiety regarding my own abilities. Caron has been so patient and yet pushed me to make positive steps forward in my riding. I look forward to what the future may bring with Caron’s support for my horses and self.

Caron has flexible livery packages to suit my work pattern/holidays etc.
My horse has a set routine but is still treated as an individual and that suits her needs. There is excellent help and ideas with regards to my horse’s management. The training available is suited to both the individual rider and horse requirements which produces great motivation and results (online BD Prelim champion 2018 and 4th Novice Champs 2019). The management have an ‘open door’ policy and appreciate feedback and two way conversation on all aspects of the livery experience. Angela & Cappy |
