How it works
Trial day If you are exploring an Apprenticeship role, we would invite you to a trial day. This is an opportunity for you to shadow a member of our team for the day and experience a typical day. We find this especially useful if you have never worked on a busy yard before. We sit down together towards the end of the working day and talk about how the day has gone and answer any questions you may have. After Trial We catch up to see if both parties wish to move forward to start a month’s trial. We will work with you to agree suitable dates for you to start. During your month's trial you will buddy up with a member of the team to learn the day-to-day routines. Your training will start on day 1 covering all aspects of a groom’s role including ridden and non-ridden training. This gives you the chance to be sure that an Equine Career path is really for you. After a successful trial period we start the enrolment process with Haddon Training to secure your funding.
